Kelvin Cochrane was the lead singer and creative force behind The Absolute Zeros. He assembled an eclectic group of musicians including percussion player Sabu Rex, bassist Stephen La Monica, and drummer Bill Rose. Bill brought me into the mix and the lineup was complete. We were lucky to be apart of a robust local music scene in Philadelphia, but also traveled for shows in NY and DC.
March 2007 – Selected as standout performer at World Café Live’s Philly Rising and invited to participate in the "Cream: Best of Philly Rising" monthly showcase
June 2007 – Performed in a showcase sponsored by Thorpe Productions/Origivation Magazine, leading to an invitation to showcase at the Dewey Beach Music Conference
September 2007 - Headlined the Northern Liberties Music Festival w/Downtown Harvest
September 2007 - Showcased at the 6th Annual Dewey Beach Music Conference and selected as a "must-see act" by Spark! Weekly (9/24/2007)
October 2007 - Filmed by Comcast cable to be featured on Comcast on Demand in Philadelphia in the "Get Local" highlight section (air dates 12/2/07-12/28/07)
December 2007 – Performed in the "Cream: Best of Philly Rising" monthly showcase and selected as the standout performer of December
January 2008 – Performed on the main stage of World Café Live at the “Best of Philly Rising 2007” annual showcase to a sold-out audience.
